Donations Being Accepted For Placer County Deputy Inured While on Duty

A support fund has been set up to help the family of a young Placer County Sheriff’s deputy who suffered a serious head injury. Austin Harper was on duty July 27th, assisting with K-9 training. During a scenario, his head struck a steel support beam inside a vacant building. He was knocked unconscious and taken to a trauma center. He underwent surgery to decrease the swelling in his brain and is in a medically-induced coma in critical but stable condition. Deputy Harper has been with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office since December 2015 and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Harper is expecting his first child with his wife, who is also a police officer. Donations are being accepted through the California Highway Patrol Credit Union.   CLICK HERE TO DONATE
