The Reno Police Department is trying to curb the amount of traffic fatalities attributed to drunk and impaired drivers, by approving overtime for more officers on the streets, and adding more DUI specific enforcement.  In the last two weeks we’ve seen 6 crashes in the Reno area, with 9 people losing their lives as a result.  Reno City Councilmember Neoma Jardon also wants to see breathalyzer activated lojack like systems for repeat offenders, and will pitch that at their next council meeting.
