Crews from Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District knocked out a small brush fire in the Spanish Springs area. Sparks Fire, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service and Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, were all on scene. Flames were reported about 3 o’clock in the area of the Spanish Springs Airport on Eagle Canyon Drive, near Hungry Valley. Truckee Meadows Fire says no structures were threatened and about six acres burned. There is no word yet on a cause.
