The Carson City Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office say there have been three arson fires in the community in as many early mornings and a suspect has been arrested. Both agencies were called to a report of a fire in the one-thousand block of East Appion in South Carson City at about 1:30 Tuesday morning. The fire was restricted to the front door of the occupied residence and had already been extinguished. It was third such fire since two fires at the Roberts House early Sunday and Monday mornings. Those two fires also were confined to doorways.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Sheriff’s Detectives identified Clinton Gore as a suspect in the East Appion incident. Following an interview, he was taken into custody and booked into the Carson Jail on the charge of misdemeanor Threats. Bail has been set at $575 and the investigation is continuing.
