A domestic battery suspect has died, and his death is under investigation. Just before 9pm Saturday the suspect was located in the 1200 block of Coachman Drive in Sparks. Officers attempted to arrest him and a struggle ensued before he was taken into custody. A short time later the suspect was observed falling into unconsciousness. Medical aid was performed and he was transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead. The Sparks Police Department has requested the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office investigate the incident.
