The Grand Sierra Chili & Beer Festival, returns this Friday, through Sunday. This year’s festival features more than 200 award-winning chili cookers from around the world as part of the 50th Annual World’s Championship Cookoff. There is also a Youth Division Chili Cookoff, more than a dozen craft beers from around the region, a local Firehouse Chili Challenge and the Chef’s Chili Cookoff Challenge. There will be 75 craft vendors and headline entertainment that includes Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and blues rock musician Shane Dwight. The festival will be held inside the Silver State Pavilion and extend out to the southeast parking lot at Grand Sierra.
