A Reno man has been sentenced to a maximum of life in prison after pleading guilty to lewdness with two girls. 46-year-old Douglas Gene Branson was sentenced on one count of Lewdness with a Child Under the Age of 14 Years after being accused of molesting the victims over the course of many years, according to Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks. Branson was arrested in July 2016 after the Reno Police Department received the report of lewdness with a minor. The investigation led to police finding out about a second victim. Branson will be eligible for parole after serving ten years.
