Sparks Police have arrested a man they say held his ex-girlfriend and her child against their will while traveling on Interstate 80 at speeds of 100 miles per hour. Police say Anthony Vaile was also threatening to kill his ex and her 17-month-old child. The victim was able to get out of the car when she shifted it into park near Vista Boulevard. Vaile also fled the scene and was spotted by police getting into another car near the Coconut Bowl. He then led police on a chase, who were able to apprehend him once he got out the car and tried to escape on foot. Vaile was book into the Washoe County Jail on several charges, including kidnapping, child endangerment, and reckless driving.
