NDOT says crews are making good progress, in restoring State Route 446, the most damaged roadway in the January floods. More than ten sections of the highway that runs along the bottom of Pyramid Lake were washed away, in some spots 50 foot ravines were carved in the road. Granite Construction is building a dirt bypass to get their trucks in, and allow tribal access. Depending on the weather, NDOT hopes to get highway 446 opened in early to mid March.
