The Sparks Police Department says that officers have noticed a spike in thefts of RV propane tanks and batteries. They say the items have been taken from RVs parked in driveways and on city streets at a variety of locations. At one location a dark colored SUV was seen in the area of a theft. Police suggest that RV owners ensure that propane tanks and batteries on their vehicles are secured in some fashion. They also recommend that RV owners leave lights on at night to deter potential thieves.
