The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident about 25 miles east of Fernley. NHP says the early morning crash involved a semi and a box truck. They say the semi crashed into the truck after the truck rolled onto the interstate. Deputies say the driver of the truck died on scene. The driver of the semi was not injured. One lane on eastbound I-80 between Fernley and the U.S. 95 junction is closed.
