New “Welcome to Nevada” Signs Being Installed

If you’re traveling into the Silver State from Utah, Oregon, Idaho, or California, the Nevada Department of Transportation hopes you won’t miss the new “Welcome to Nevada” signs they’re installing this week. The first one was put in at the California Nevada border south of Minden on Highway 88 on Wednesday. They were designed by Nevada art students, and will be installed in 26 locations. The old signs, which featured a prospector, have been up for around 25 years.
