Former Nevada star Colin Kaepernick may not have a job, but after President Trump tweeted about it, Kaepernick donated $50,000 to “Meals on Wheels.” Under Trump’s proposed cuts to community block grants, the Meals on Wheels budget could take a large funding cut. While speaking in Kentucky, the President took credit for Kaepernick’s apparent inability to attract interest from NFL teams, over his protest over police treatment of minorities. Trump says NFL owners won’t hire Kaepernick because they’re afraid of a “mean tweet” from the President.
