A woman was killed following a multi-vehicle crash on McCarran Boulevard between Pyramid Highway and Rock Boulevard. It happened shortly after 11 p.m. last night. According to the NHP, the 77 year old woman was traveling in a van when she was hit by a man driving a pickup truck. They were then hit by another car. Authorities suspect the driver of the truck was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to Renown for minor injuries. A portion of McCarran Boulevard was closed for about three hours as REMSA, Sparks Fire and Sparks Police units all responded to the crash. The Nevada Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
