AFP Nevada Has An Idea, A Tax Cut For Everyone

The Legislative Economic Forum projected that tax revenues over the next two years would be $140 million or so, more than expected. Americans for Prosperity-Nevada is calling on the State Legislature to use this revenue windfall as an opportunity to provide tax relief to citizens of the Silver State. AFP Nevada’s state director, Juan Martinez released a statement saying the revenue windfall was only just announced and already Nevada politicians are dreaming up ways to spend it.  But the better bet would be to use it to give hardworking Nevadans much-needed tax relief by rolling back some of the tax increases implemented in the previous session.  He add’s “Last session’s Commerce Tax was an unnecessary burden on Nevada’s economic backbone – small business. Scaling back this tax will result in a stronger economy and more jobs for Nevadans.”
