WCSD Says Budget Mistake Would Leave Them Short

The Washoe County School District says the K-12 budget passed by democrats would leave them with a 13 million dollar deficit over the next two years, after they closed a 40 million dollar budget hole this year. Superintendent Traci Davis issued an “Urgent statement,” about this Friday morning, suggesting this stems from a “Miscalculation” in the formula. Davis says the district would like to avoid any more damaging cuts. They’ve urged supporters to contact Governor Sandoval’s office.
