The City of Reno is now moving quickly to get recreational pot shops open July 1st. The plan is to grant temporary business licenses to four medical dispensaries to start selling recreationally. The licenses would expire in a year, pending more adjustments to the ordinances. One roadblock is a restraining order placed by a Carson City Judge on behalf of liquor distributors who’ve complained the law passed by voters gave them the first crack at those licenses, but the state taxation department moved away from that, because the liquor distributors were slow to apply.
