Forward progress has been stopped on a brush fire that broke out east of Sparks last night. According to Truckee Meadows Fire, 3 acres were burned just off eastbound I-80 near the Patrick exit.  TMFPD were assisted by volunteers at the Silver Lake Station and Storey County Fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
