NDOT is starting a project today on North Virginia Street from Hoge Road down to Moraine Way. The signal installed two years ago at the Bonanza Casino was considered temporary at the time, and a permanent signal will be installed on the project. Sidewalks will also be placed from the Bonanza up to Hoge Road. At Talus and Moraine Ways, flashing crossing beacons and street lighting will be installed to enhance pedestrian safety. Lane closures will take place both day and night, but primarily during weekday off-peak travel times. One travel lane will always be open in each direction. Granite Construction is the contractor and they expect to be done by this fall.
