Recreational Marijuana In Unincorporated Washoe County Closer to Reality

Washoe County Commissioners approved an ordinance change to allow for temporary business licenses for recreational marijuana in unincorporated Washoe County They would begin selling August 4th.According to the State of Nevada Department of Taxation, existing businesses with medical marijuana licenses that are in good standing are eligible to apply for recreational marijuana business licenses. After Tuesday’s initial approval, code changes will go before the Board of County Commissioners for a second, and final, reading on July 25th. If adopted they’ll allow three existing businesses and one cultivation facility to sell recreational marijuana beginning August 4th.
