BioFuels Company Moving to Northern Nevada

The state Board of Finance approved issuing $150 million in bonds, to help build a plant at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center that would turn garbage into jet and diesel fuel.  Fulcrum Sierra BioFuels plan is to take trash from a nearby landfill, refine it into sludge and send it to California for final processing into fuel. The Pleasanton California based company says they’ll hire about 130 people. Gov. Brian Sandoval called it an “Incredible project,” that will “Enhance our energy portfolio.”
