Hot August Nights is over, and the Reno Police Department has released arrest statistics. There were nine felony arrests during the festivities. All nine of those were for possession of a controlled substance. There were a total of 42 arrests including three for using marijuana in public. That’s exactly double the 21 arrests last year. There were no felony arrests last year. Reno’s Street Enforcement Team conducted several street level operations during the week, arresting or citing nine females for soliciting prostitution and a subsequent operation arrested two people for possession of narcotics and two others for warrants.
