Judge Drops Injunction, As Marijuana Supplies Shrink

Another court clash over whether liquor distributors have the exclusive rights to distribute marijuana products. The Nevada Department of Taxation says the legal fights are undermining the industry and the tax collections that come with it. This time Judge James Russell agreed, saying alcohol wholesalers don’t have the capacity to meet the needs of dispensaries. He lifted the injunction. Tax Director Deonne Contine says short supplies are forcing customers back to the black market as legal prices rise.
