Former RPD Chief Bradshaw Passes Away

(KOH) – The Reno Police Department has announced that former chief Robert Bradshaw passed away late last night. Deputy Chief Tom Robinson said that Bradshaw was one of RPD’s longest-serving chiefs, serving from 1981-1991. Chief Bradshaw is credited with bringing the philosophy of “Community-Oriented Policing” to the Reno Police Department in the late 1980’s. RPD’s motto, “Your Police, Our Community” is also attributed to him.  Bradshaw was 79.
