Pinon Hill Elementary School in Minden has made a very good list. They have been designated a “National Blue Ribbon School.” The award honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap. Senator Dean Heller is commending the staff at Pinon Hill and two southern Nevada schools that achieved Blue Ribbon Status.
