Medicare “Open Enrollment” is upon us. It’s the time of year to make changes in your medicare coverage. You may also add supplemental coverage, like Medicare Advantage or Senior Care Plus.

Chris Gourlet of Senior Care Plus says even if you like the coverage you have now, it’s worth looking at what the latest offerings are and tailor them to your individual situation. A good place to start is Medicare.gov, using the plan finder tool.

Expense may not be the most important issue. Senior care plus is a medicare advantage plan with a 4.5 star rating. Instead of an 80-20 plan, they work on small co-payments. Whatever you decide, take a look at competing plans, they change every year.
