Mt. Rose Gets Hit with 30+ Inches of Snow

Thanks to its high base area elevation of 8,260 feet, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe has received more than 30 inches of snow in the latest storm. The resort was closed Thursday due to blizzard conditions, but they say the abundant snowfall and expected return of cold temperatures over the weekend that will allow snow-making efforts to continue is a good sign  for the resort’s efforts to quickly open more terrain in the coming days. Resort officials are currently evaluating what and how much terrain they will be able to open this weekend.
