Throughout this week, the Nevada Department of Transportation is removing the majority of lane closures on Glendale Avenue/Second Street as major reconstruction of the roadway winds down.  Final paving and roadway striping have completed, and the majority of Glendale Avenue/Second Street will reopen to two lanes in each direction between Kietzke Lane and east McCarran Boulevard by the end of this week.  Intermittent, minor construction work will continue through early spring with completion of utility and other work. Periodic single lane closures will take place, and motorists are advised to reduce speeds and follow all road work signage.
