Nevada’s high school graduation rate is now average over 80 percent for the first time. Steve Canavero, the State School Superintendent says the latest rate is 80.85 percent for 2016-17. The rate is 83.2 in Clark County – up 8.3 percent from last school year. Washoe County high schools have an 84 percent graduation rate – up 7.4 percent, and Elko County 85.1 percent, an increase of 5.1 percent. Carson City’s grad rate is almost 84%, Storey County is over 90%, Eureka and Pershing are at 100%. The low is White Pine with a just under 70% grad rate.
