The Reno Fire Department is investigating a house fire that happened at a home on East 2nd & Locust Streets last night. Investigators believe the fire started in the back of the house by a man who was squatting at the property.

Crews knocked down a house fire near Plumas Street and Lakeridge Terrace Sunday morning. Northbound Plumas Street was closed in the area until about 10:30 a.m. The fire was reported at about 9:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of Lakeridge Terrace East. The house was saved, and there were no injuries reported. The cause is under investigation.
