A Reno man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for causing the deaths of two people in a crash in Sparks in February 2017. 23-year-old Jesus Rojo-Perez pleaded guilty to two counts of Driving Under the Influence, and has now been sentenced in Washoe County District Court to two consecutive maximum terms of 20 years in prison by Judge Elliott Sattler. Police determined Rojo-Perez was speeding and driving drunk westbound on Greenbrae when he ran a stop sign, the crash killed a 28 year old woman in another car, and Rojo-Perez’s 19 year old passengers.
