A Reno man has been sentenced for drug trafficking, after 40 grams of methamphetamine was seized in a traffic stop. Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says 33-year-old Brian Caperonis has been sentenced to 25 years in prison; he will be eligible for parole after serving ten years. Also, while he was out on bail for the trafficking case, he was arrested for using another person’s identification when he was stopped in traffic in October 2016. He was sentenced to a concurrent four-year prison term for that charge. Caperonis was arrested June 24, 2016. He was a passenger in a car stopped by Reno Police. When police conducted a “wants and warrants” check, a warrant for his arrest was discovered and he was taken into custody. When being booked a search uncovered two bags of methamphetamine hidden inside his underwear.
