Nevada Falls Short Against Loyola-Chicago

KOH – The tremendous season for the Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball team ended Thursday night in Atlanta. 7th-seeded Nevada fell to 11th-seeded Loyola Chicago, 69-68.

The Pack came out on fire and raced to a 12-point lead behind nine points from Jordan Caroline. The Pack was ahead by ahead by eight with just under eight minutes remaining in the first half after a dunk by Cody Martin.  Nevada would not score for the rest of the half and the Ramblers chipped away at the lead with two free throws, two layups and a three pointer.

The Ramblers erased the deficit and took a four-point lead into the locker room at halftime. The Ramblers then came out in the second half and made six layups and a dunk to widen its lead to 12. Nevada played from behind for the entire second half before a Cody Martin layup tied the game at 59.  After that, Loyola hit a three-pointer and never gave up the lead.

Nevada ends the season with 29 wins, tied for the most in school history.
