Governor Brian Sandoval has announced the members of the Statewide School Safety Task Force, which he created in early March, with the signing of an Executive Order 2018-5. The task force will be chaired by Communities In Schools National President and CEO Dale Erquiaga. Margarita Gamboa, Principal of Sunrise Acres Elementary School in Las Vegas, and Nevada State Assemblywoman Jill Tolles will serve as co-Vice Chairs. Governor Brian Sandoval says, “School safety is one of the highest priorities for my administration.” He adds he’s very pleased by the caliber of individuals who have agreed to serve our state on this Task Force.
