NYT Bestselling Author to speak in Fallon

A New York Times Bestselling Author is visiting Fallon on behalf of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

David Pelzer, author of “A Child Called ‘It'” is presenting three discussions to students at Churchill County High School, teachers, foster parents, social services, and to the community April 13.

The presentations will encourage attendees to practice self-empowerment and decision making, and how to identify youth abuse.

Pelzer also will assist the Volunteer Fire Department with a barbecue lunch for foster youth and their families, including a meet-and-greet book signing.

The free presentation open to the public is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday at Churchill County High School, 1 Greenwave Circle, with doors opening at 5 p.m.
