Two Dogs Killed in House Fire in Reno

Reno Fire Department crews were on the scene of a structure fire on the 1100 block of Capitol Hill Ave early this morning. According to officials, the fire was first reported around 3am. Everyone in the home was able to evacuate without injuries. Two dogs were killed. Crews with Reno Fire say there was heavy fire activity in the garage, which extended to the kitchen and the living room. While crews battled the flames the garage caved in. Fire officials say the house is a total loss. Surrounding homes were not damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
