Portions of La Posada Drive in Sparks will be intermittently closed later this week, and again in May as Q & D Construction widens the road from two lanes to four from Omni Drive to Rockwell Boulevard, in preparation for the new Stonebrook subdivision. The road closures will take place Thursday and Friday, on La Posada from Cordoba Boulevard to Rockwell Boulevard from 6 am to 7 pm. The same closures will take place again May 2-4 and May 9-11. Detours will be in place.  In June, Q & D will close La Posada from Cordoba to Rockwell for three weeks to install a roundabout at the Omni Drive/La Posada Intersection and pave the widened La Posada Drive. Sparks says vehicle traffic is expected to significantly increase on La Posada when more than 2100 single-family homes are built in the new subdivision.
