A Wells elementary school teacher pleaded no contest this week to charges she had sex with as many as four male high school students. 41 year old Tennille Whitaker was arraigned on four counts of sexual conduct between a school employee and a pupil, which is a category C felony. She faces a possible 1 to 5 years in prison on each count, and a fine of up to $10,000. Whitaker, could also receive probation if she passes a test to see if she’ll re-offend, and is now required to register as a sex offender. Whitaker was a teacher at Wells Elementary for about 11 years.
