Army Corps of Engineers Targeting Invasive Species in Lake Tahoe

Invasive species are in the crosshairs of the Army Corps of Engineers. They will provide a million dollars in funding to protect the clarity of Lake Tahoe. Invasive aquatic species pose a major threat to the health of the ecosystem and the economic vitality of the Tahoe Basin according to Army Corps Program manager Laura Whitney. This agreement is not unlike the one that led to the boat inspection program aimed at keeping harmful species for entering and populating the Lake.
