The Nevada Highway Patrol has confirmed a small plane went down late Wednesday morning in Nye County.  Troopers say the small private plane crashed along Highway 6, about ten miles east of Tonopah, but it was far enough off the road so that the road is still open. Two people were on board, and both got out of the plane unhurt after the crash, which was reported about 11:15AM. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. No cause has been determined.
