Last Chance Joe, the iconic prospector statue that used to sit outside the Nugget Casino for decades, now has a second chance in front of the Sparks Heritage Museum up the street. Joe just got an $83,000 make over, and Scott Carey with the museum says the whole process started around 4 years ago.

Last Chance Joe is being rededicated outside the museum today, where he’ll spend the rest of his days. Stop by and see Joe’s new paint job, and his exhibit inside the museum. There’s also a license plate you can get from the DMV, and proceeds go towards the future upkeep of Last Chance Joe.
