Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada is asking for the public’s help finding some vandals. The most recent damage took place at the organizations’s Foster Drive location in Reno between 9PM July 24th and 6 the next morning. But twice in the last week, vandals have stolen the battery from the donation truck and damaged its electrical system.
The damage was about 25 hundred dollars. The nonprofit says it is not the only organization in the area experiencing theft of batteries. Ruben Espinoza, owner of Sparks Trailer Repair, says one of his customers had 14 U-Hauls vandalized. He says “This is an epidemic.”
