What was reported as a possible bomb in the South Lake Tahoe area turned out to be a sewer cleaning nozzle, according to the CHP. But they also took the opportunity to remind people to treat all suspicious items carefully. If people see something that looks like it might be an explosive, don’t touch it and notify authorities immediately.  The CHP got the report of the suspicious device at U.S. 50 and Pioneer Trail. The CHP called in the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad and the road was shut down temporarily. The responsible party arrived at the location almost immediately and it was identified as a sewer cleaning nozzle used by a cleaning company.
