The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a woman who took a purse a shopper left at a grocery store. It happened July 21st at the Raley’s at 1363 U.S. 395 in Gardnerville. At about 2pm a shopper accidentally left her purse in a cart. Video surveillance showed the shopper leaving her purse and then about a minute later someone else taking the cart with the purse and then leaving the camera’s view. The next day the purse was recovered at a local Park but about $228 in cash was missing.
