Learn how to handle wildlife encounters when you’re out camping, hiking or in your own backyard at Spooner Lake State Park. The Nevada Department of Wildlife’s Urban Wildlife Coordinator wants to teach you and your family what to do, and how to react to wild animals, like raccoons, coyotes, bears and mountain lions. The event coming up August 9th at 7pm is free, and park entrance fees will be waived for attendees. The program will be held outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather. You’re encouraged to sign up at 775-749-5980.
