Reno Police say a pedestrian is recovering in the hospital from minor injuries after being hit by a car last night. Police responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Kietzke Lane near Plumb Lane, just after 11:30 p.m. They say the victim was pushing a shopping cart full of personal items in the street, when a taxi went to make a turn. The cab hit the cart, which caused the man to fall down. He suffered road rash and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the taxi stayed on scene and is cooperating in the investigation. Police say alcohol and drugs were not factors.
