Burglar Caught in the Act, Arrested by Reno Police

Reno Police have arrested a man after a burglary investigation. Shortly after 1PM Tuesday, police were called to Sunset Breeze Drive in Stead, where a burglar had entered a home through a kitchen window and was setting off alarms in the house. Police set up a perimeter, heard the burglar inside and began talking with him, trying to coax him out of the house. Police say he told them he had weapons, and began moving furniture to barricade doors and windows. Members of the Critical Incident Negotiations Team continued talking with him as a SWAT team was called, and the burglar was convinced to leave the home to be arrested. 34-year-old Jeffrey Bissett is charged with burglary, home invasion, and destroying the property of another.
