The Rio Alayne Fire between Sparks Boulevard and Pyramid Way burned about 25 acres before crews were able to get a handle on it Sunday. Damage was limited to fences of three properties and some power poles. Flames burned within 100 feet of some homes. The cause is under investigation but officials say it appears accidental.
