Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested two people in the theft of a jar containing approximately $400 in donations for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Deputies arrested 23 year old Tia Cryer, and 25 year old John Gilman, at a home in Sparks. The initial incident occurred August 23rd when the suspects walked into the McDonald’s on 1st Avenue in Sun Valley. The couple stole the jar off the counter and the store’s debit card reader. After surveillance photos of the theft were released to local media by the Ronald McDonald House, deputies received a Secret Witness tip identifying Cryer and Gilman as the possible suspects.
