The U.S. Department of Education has designated Roy Gomm Elementary School and Mt. Rose School of Languages as National Blue Ribbon Schools, based upon their students’ overall academic performance. This national honor recognizes public and private elementary-, middle-, and high schools whose students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ level of achievement. WCSD Superintendent Traci Davis says these awards are testaments to the strong commitment to excellence at Gomm and Mt. Rose schools.
